I believe these are new. You can do wonders with this little camera and some flash.

Cheers my friends.

Beautiful... Especially 1st and last! That is a great focal length for "people" pics as long as you do not get too close. Thanks for sharing.

Fuji X100S is great for portraits. I used it a lot to shoot people in the studio and in location.

A more than capable camera..... Well done for highlighting that it is use of light and managing the tool in your hands (the camera) and the concept, that makes an excellent photograph. Very nice images.

Despite the thousands of images we see yearly, one photographer always manages to produce stunning work and grab our attention!

Sorry. Looks like I misinterpreted Obijuan and Fujimoto’s posts that the OP images were from other various photographers and this was a collective portrait thread. Apologies for adding images where none were needed.

Beautiful images Obijuan.

There was a bit of crop but not much. Natural light from the window. Thank you.

awesome !

quick questions:

1. for the 3rd picture (from the 1st set), how far are you from the lady? - want to understand the minimum distance to avoid face distortion

2. for the 4th picture (from the 1st set), what is your f number? - want to understand when you shot 3 person, would f4 enough to make all face sharp?

thanks

Awesome shots - Love the lighting and processing.  Are you primarily shooting fuji?  The other shots on your site are equally as impressive.

Outstanding portraits. Just goes to show what can be done with these cameras (in capable hands and with an eye for composition of course).

It was seeing the work of people like Damien Lovegrove and pictures like this made me finally get an X100 as a second 'walk around' camera. It quickly became my primary camera though and I sold most of my Canon kit! I'll be using it 'till it dies

On a recent trip to Mexico, I left my DSLR home and took only the X100S. Here is a small gallery of (mostly) candid portraits from that trip:
