I Think Fuji Needs To Take A Closer Look At Battery Tech.

I love the X100S for a lot of reasons. However the battery situation sucks. This camera drains juice quickly. I believe the Fuji NP-95 is a battery designed by Rioch and the same battery is rebranded for many other much older cameras.

It would be interesting to see how old this design actually is and which one of the old cameras it was originally designed for. I have it feeling it was designed for an older point and shoot style of camera. You know, one with a single weak and tiny LCD.

I would wager the battery was never designed for a camera that has two high quality LCD's as well as a HUD display and powerful little flashes like the ones that live on the X100S.

I think they need to task someone at Fuji to find a better, longer lasting battery for the X100S. Then they should team up with the software guys to fix how the battery is monitored via software. As it is right now, it is an alarm clock on snooze just waiting to flash that red battery symbol.  There has to be a better way monitor the charge of the battery.

How to Set X100 to Auto ISO?

Posted by davidhunternyc in X100 and X100S Discussion

I have been trying to set my X100 to auto ISO. I want to be able to control the shutter speed and aperture but I want the ISO to be automatic. How do I do this? I tried searching this forum but couldn't find anything. With street shooting, I don't have time to manually set up shots and so, for perfect exposure, I need to have one thing auto. I figure the "film" speed is the least intrusive. Please help. Thanks.
