    Hey guys.

Just got the 23mm f/2 WR and wondering if I should go with the stock or the more expensive LH-XF35-2.

Any advantages of one over the other? The LH-XF35-2 does seem too big, even though it's metal.

    What do you think?

The LH-FX35-2 is not designed for the 23mm f2!

I don't have the 23mm f/2 yet, but I got the LH-FX35-2 simply because it looked cooler :cool:on than the original hood :oops:.

I never did use the original. :)

So the retail hood is just for the looks basically? No added function besides the supposedly better protection due to metal construction?

My apologies, I only looked at the Amazon.uk listing which didn't mention the 23mm f2, so I looked it up on the Fuji site, expensive ain't it £59.99 wow

I'm sure it does the job of shielding the lens perfectly well as the original hood, if not better.

I'm sure it wasn't that expensive when I bought mine, but yes, for what it is, it is pricey.

What can I say I'm a closet Leica fan :(

I had the LH-XF35-2 hood from the XF35/2 I just sold as it was actually better than the included hood there. I haven't even unpacked the hood for the XF23/2, just left it in the box as I like the look and feel of the external metal hood. For all I know the XF23/2 included hood is perfectly fine and better than the included hood of the 35, therefore if I hadn't already owned the LH-XF35-2 I wouldn't have bought it.

Definitely, without hesitation, go with the LH-FX35-2... it is SO much better in every way.
