X-T3 and Battery grip with SmallRig cage

I use the dual handles for 2 handed off tripod use. The horizontal rods allow for better low angle positions. All bits can be removed and customised, of course.

My Please login or register to view links (#2229) for the X-T3 with Battery Grip arrived yesterday, so I kitted out a test setup. My personal comments below:
      1. Another quality item from SmallRig (cheaper to buy it from their eBay Shop then their own website shop!)
      2. Really need to budget for some SmallRig add-ons, to make it all work well. There are lots to choose from!
      3. Like the top right screw which secures camera via the lug - however you have to remove any strap attachment!
      4. Access to the shutter release is a little awkward, but still usable
      5. I put in the horizontal rods to help hand held low angle holding
      6. The handles clip off very easily making this versatile
      7. The HDMI cable clamp is an optional extra (extra cost)
      8. You could obviously mount this assembly on a rail system for even more elaborate configuration
      9. The camera securing main screw is too deeply recessed so I couldn't use a coin, but had to use a short stubby screw driver. Make sure you keep the right tool in your kit for field use. Some Leatherman multitools have similar bits.
Excuse the cluttered background, but I shot these in haste just before I dismantled the rig to make it ready for a stills shoot gig.

Bear in mind that everyone will make their own, different configuration, these pics are just to give you an idea of what can be done and maybe inspire you to do better!

      Nice rig @pszilard

I want a Small Rig L bracket for my A7R - they do make nice stuff, and very reasonable $. Do they make a shutter mech for off cam (on rig?) like something that would hold a cable or electronic release? That would be the ticket for easy shutter access.

At work, I built a similar rig for streaming video, some SR bits and other pieces we had laying about. It's a Sony video camera as we needed audio (XLR) mixing on camera with dials, not menu. We also kitted it up with a wireless 2 mic -1 receiver and Teradek for direct immediate auto streaming to the provider of our choice. Set it up, turn it on, count to 10 and you are on the air!

If you're into streaming checkout the Teradek solutions - simple, elegant, and really well made.
