I went to a models/photographers meetup. Approx 50 models showed up and about 70 photographers. There was enough time to shoot a number of models during the day...and it was all free to do.

It was a perfect way to develop your portfolio and great for the models because they get loads of photos from so many different photographers. Here are a few from the day using the X-T2 with the 56mm and the 35 F2 (with diffuser/reflector... no flash)

The event was organized by a person on Instagram and its hugely popular. Photographers and models often schedule shoots after these events. Its a good meet and greet. Its really a fantastic idea and I may do it in my home city once I move away from here.

Hey those are great portraits, curious to know which ones where shot with the 35f2 (which is supposed to be unsuitable for shooting people ). Also, did you have an assistant working the diffuser, love the tones.

Hey andres, Thanks for your comment. The top one I used a diffuser and held it myself right over her head..i mean almost touching her head. Sunlight was coming in top right as you can see from the glow on the right side of her face. (You can see the light peaking in on her sleeve). The 35mm was used on the second and 4th one. All shot in the shade...no diffusers.

The 35mm F2 is fantastic. I just shot Pride London in the bright sunlight and this is what I got. Every shot is taken with the 35. :) Please login or register to view links I did use a hand held off camera flash with no diffuser in order to control the lighting better. I also used a ND 8 (3 stop filter) to cut the light so I could shoot wide open in bright sunlight with flash (flash sync under 250th shutter speed). Works great. Was actually my first time doing that.

Hey that is a great set of images, seems like you are quite the lighting specialist. Really enjoyed the rest of your galleries as well, very encouraging to see what can be achieved with this sistem!
