I was just thinking it would be fun to do a short Spring challenge (a week perhaps?). The challenge part (aside from doing a daily picture) would be to use the same lens for all the shots. Doesn't matter what lens it is. Maybe start it up on May 1st? It's May Day (Beltaine for the so inclined) and my birthday. It also gives everyone an opportunity to pick their weapon of choice.

I'm going with the Hexanon 40/1.8 because it's small enough to have attached to the camera all of the time and still be light in the bag.

    Any takers?

I'm in. Not sure what lens yet, but I should make it one that I have not used much lately. For me that probably means a short telephoto. Maybe the Super-Takumar 105mm/2.8. Or I could use the Pentax 40mm on APSc sensors. It might be fun to use the Minolta 28mm lens. I really like that focal length on APSc cameras, and I don't use my Fuji 27mm much.

Hmm, but a Macro would be a lot of fun . . .

Be warned that if I choose a Pentax lens, or any M-42 mount lens, I have four different sensors that I can put behind that one lens, not to mention film.

Go for it...all I said was the same lens. I never said anything about the same camera. I have a cool old Canon video lens that I briefly considered.

You rebel. There is always one who wants to bend the rules. :D
My concern would be remembering to take a pic each day.

BTW. Seeing as somebody is bound to ask anyway. Zooms? In or out?

I'm in. I would think it should be primes only.

How about if a zoom lens, only set on one focal length for all images. A 10-24 fixed at 10mm would be an interesting choice...

Great. If I sick with digital they all have the same sensor size, same crop, and same number of pixels. Two Bayer (Pentax K5iis and Fuji XA1), and two X-Trans (X-Pro1 and X-E2).

    Technically it's still one lens.

I'll give it a go, if my memory lasts until May 1st. Lens? XF 35mm f/2.

Great I'll use my bridge camera with its 24-600 lens then. :D:D

I am in. I should use one of the lenses I've been neglecting.
    So what do y'all think?
Konica 50 1.7, 40 1.8 (same as Dixeyk), 35-70 or 135 3.2 (not as neglected, but doesn't get the attention it should)
I would have considered the 28 3.5 if I still had it.

Count me in; I'll be using the 56 mm which doesn't get the use it deserves... based on long term current weather forecast... expect to see some winter landscapes from The Netherlands

I'm thinking my X100s with my TCL which I have not used for maybe 12 months. There is no point in having a challenge then using your favourite lens. I challenge others to think about their lens collection and pick their least used lens.

I'm in, . . . never participated in one of these challenges before. Since I'll be traveling (mostly for work) at least three weeks of May, I believe my new X100F would be the logical choice for me.

If the Konica 40 f1.8 that is due to arrive tomorrow is as described and the AR-FX adapter that I've ordered arrives in time I'd like to try that out. However despite the adapter being listed on eBay for sale from Salford Manchester I've just had an email to say it will be delivered Standard Delivery from outside UK with Royal Mail between 3rd - 11th May. So like Richard I might revert to my X100S with TCL.

I'd vote for the 35-70 or the 135/3.2 (such a terrific lens)

Count me in, I'll have to think about the lens choice.
