    hi everyone
Total newbie to Fuji cameras !
I have an x100f for one day and love it although I can't seem to activate the flash ?
It's set to single shot and mechanical shutter but it's still greyed out in the flash menu ?
Is it something to do with the shutter volume although I can't see 'silent shutter' anywhere in the menu ?
Any advice would be much appreciated
    Thanks in advance

Could your flash function setting be set to off?

Do you have any advanced filters applied?

I am also having the same issue with the flash. Sound and Flash is set to on. I have the Built-in Flash set to on. When I go to Flash Function Setting, the built in flash is showing off and is greyed out as are all the flash options. I am concerned I have a faulty camera, but hope I am just missing something. I have read the instructions.

Likely a setting that is incompatible with flash.
    Electronic shutter, perhaps?

Hi there, what focus mode are you using ? Try single point and single shot mode (not continuous burst ) maybe this may help ...

Hi, I'm curious, did you find a solution? I have the exact same issue. Sound and flash are on, mechanical shutter is set, it's in single shot mode, and no advanced filters are applied. But flash setting still shows built-in flash as off. I've owned my X100F for several months now, quite familiar with it, but have never been able to activate the built-in flash. I'm new to the forum and would love to know if you found a solution, or if anyone else has any suggestions. Thanks!

Ha! I figured it out finally!
I was not, but I discovered that I was accidentally in electronic shutter. Problem solved!

    Hi all!
I have a Fuji x100F and really have problems with figuring out how to turn off inbuilt flash while using the external flash off the camera as well. When I use off the camera a Yongnuo external flash, also my inbuilt flash fires too. And when I shut the built-in flash, my external one stops responding as well. I hope you can help me? :O :)

How are you triggering the external flash? Is it connected via a cord or via a radio transmitter/receiver pair? If neither of those, then you must be triggering it optically, which means the internal flash must fire or the external one will not be triggered.

    Hi all
I am new to Fuji but having same problem with getting internal flash to operate. I have adopted all the settings recommended earlier in the thread but the built in flash screen is still showing off. Does anybody have any other suggestions as I am at a loss as to what to do next?

Hi Manahitk, For flash to work, you need to have the drive set to single photo and shutter set to mechanical.
