second time in my country's history they opened up a motorway system to the walking public.

Decided to take my X100F along. I'm not a architecture or street type photographer ( prefer beaches and Labradors ), but enjoyed the experience. Had the TCL on. In hindsight I should've just gone with the 23.
Loving the X100F's bracketing setting of taking Acros, Chrome and normal shots at the same time. And loving how small the X100F is

I don't know about the quantity of openings but I walked along the Wellington motorway from the bottom of the Gorge to about where the Cook Strait ferries go from when that was opened in the mid 1960s.
I also seem to recall that there was a walk through the tunnel section under The Terrace when that was opened in the 1970s although I was a teenager and too cool to walk through a motorway tunnel by that stage.

Actually yes. The reports were talking about the last time public could walk on a motorway opening was the Auckland Harbour Bridge - but they might have been referring to Auckland only - not NZ wide

Love the top photo. The colour rendering is very subtle.
