    hi,

Just my new X100F and so far love it!

Just a quick question about the power/shutter realease button/switch. It seems to work fine but the shutter release button does have a bit of wiggle room inside the on/off collar, like it’s a tiny bit loose and not a tight fit. Is this normal? Everything else on the camera feels very taught and purposeful.

    Thx!

    Hello and Welcome,

Are you talking about a movement from top to bottom or on the sides ?
From top to bottom, it's normal. There are 2 states.

Even side-to-side it has a little play. I think that is normal for this old fashioned type of button. Went and tried a couple of my old film cameras and they are like that. One of the silly inconsequential reasons I like the Fuji's.

No, mean I tiny bit of wiggle side to side as in the button isn’t tight on the ring. See pic. Where the red arrow is pointing it isn’t as a snug fit as I thought

Yes, this is what I mean. Just struck me a being a little loose compared with the positive feel of everything else.

The X100 T and F that I previously owned both had wiggly shutter release buttons. If you attach a soft release it's even more noticeable.

    Enjoy your new camera.

Yep, that's normal. I only wish mine's power switch was not so tight, or had more aggressive grip to it. Sometimes I have a hard time switching it on, or need to use a fingernail to move it.

Yup normal, same but to a slightly lesser degree on the Xp2.
