    Day 4.

Grabbed these two quick shots while the kids were playing at the park.

    1. These flowers are tiny.. went for a creative shot. These grew on the edge of the path around the back side of the playground.

    2. I tried a shot with light coming in from the left side, made it a bit harsh, but I went with it. Focus isn't perfect, but I was guessing best as I could while shooting crouched and looking at the LCD Screen.

    3. I heard something try to bomb me. I turned around and this little guys was buzzing behind me on the other side of the path. I did my best handheld with Manual focus... :)

May 4. X-E2, XF100-400. Changing it up a bit. I had to mow three lawns today, and not knowing if I’d have much time for any other shooting, I put the camera on a tripod, used the 10-sec. timer, and dashed for a pose with the mower ( these days, "dashing" down the deck stairs and another 30 ft. in ten seconds is an accomplishment itself :D ). In GraphicConverter, I converted to b&w with the tonal filter, then for old times’ sake, applied a bit of posterizing. As it turned out, I did have time to get a bunch of other photos, but I’m going with these old dried roses in the milk bottle. They have been in that bottle in the breezeway for many years... I’m not even sure how long. Ten years? Maybe 15? Anyway, I know this is the first direct sunlight they have seen in all that time. :)

Velvet 56 f8 this is supposed to be a macro lens, too. So...

Eye know, the puns couldn't get any cornea. (Required low-brow humor).

Nice weather which is deteriorating just in time for the weekend. I'd rather be riding.

Yesterday, 4th of May is remembrance day in The Netherlands. This gets a lot of attention every year including a 2 minutes silence at 20.00h.
Many memorial sites get a good clean-up and fresh flowers are placed. The more well known sites draw a lot of attention but there are plenty of smaller sites which are not widely known. This is one of those smaller sites which commemorates the loss of 21 people who got killed towards the end of WWII.
