    Hello!

First of all I would like to apologize for my bad english.
I put my hands on the xe2s and the 27mm xf lens today and i'm having a hard time controlling the aperture of the lens. To change the aperture i have to press the dial and scroll it, besides that it changes only one aperture size per time. Is there a way of changing the aperture by only scrolling the dial, without pressing it? It's very inconvinient pressing it every time i want to change the aperture.
    Thanks to everybody who answers!

This lens doesn't have the aperture ring. So the only way of changing the aperture is through the dial

    Hello , and Welcome,

You could use the camera body in Shutter Priority ?
When the camera body is in Shutter priority , the aperture will be automatically adjusted according to speed and ISO.

How to set the aperture to A , Auto.
If you turn the control dial to the right past the F16 aperture setting, the Aperture setting will be A, Auto.
The camera body will be in Shutter priority , or could be in [P] program mode if you already have set the shutter also to Auto

I don't have the X-E2s but do have the X-E2. I also have both XC lenses with no aperture ring. I don't have to press the command dial when rotating it to change aperture. Is it possible that a change in settings has caused this? Maybe try a reset of the camera.

The reset didn't work. So it's a caracteristic of the xe2s or a problem with my camera's dial, witch I think it's more possible.

As I said I don't have the X-E2s but do have the X-E2. I've looked at the X-E2s manual and it's references to the command dial are exactly the same as the X-E2. When I've checked my X-E2 with 16-50mm lens and press the command dial I get a magnified image of the scene I am pointing at. I can't see anywhere that a setting would cause this problem. I'd suggest you take it back to the store you bought it from.

You should not have to press the dial. Using the dial on the upper right side of the camera-back, just scrolling it should work to change apertures.

Just to add one more data point. I just put my 16-50 lens on my XE-2s & turning the real wheel adjusts the aperture. No pushing of the rear wheel needed.
