I was hired by Shimano to do video and still photos for their athletes competing in the Ironman world championships on Kona Hawaii. I decided to do a close up portrait series as a way to capture their intensity leading up to the event. All these were shot with the GFX 50S and 110f2 @f2. This camera continues to blow me away every time I use it. I will continue to update this as the event goes on.

Edit....trying to embed from Flickr on mobile sucks. Any suggestions?

There's nothing I don't like in these portraits. Color, lighting, poses, camera position, backgrounds, expressions, contrast..all very appealing. I really like the soft fall off of the DOF in these as well. Thanks for posting.

Nice ones. 110mm f2 is one very nice lens. Wish Fuji release more lenses like it with f2 aperture. I know I know, bigger, more $$.

I wish you would stop posting these. It might end up costing me some serious money!
