Wisley Gardens is the main show garden for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). It is situated in Surrey, England at the junction of the M25 and A3 and gets over 1 million visitors per year. Right now the roses are out, so it is a fantastic place to visit if you like flower photography.

A few more examples of what I shot at Wisley yesterday.

Superb use of the 80mm macro. I've held off buying due to price and use the 60mm for macro. The more I see of what the 80 can do, the less expensive it seems.

Did you use "stacking" or are those single exposures?

These are all single exposure shots.

Very nice, I had a go at something similar today with the Roses at Anglesey Abbey.
Used the 60mm macro, not a patch on your photos though, one or two were ok.

Know its not all about the lens, but the 80mm does look like a good'un
Trouble is I wouldn't use it enough to justify buying it.
Had a Canon 100mm f2.8 L IS, used so rarely that it got sold.

Thanks for the reply. I've gotten good results with the 60mm using a tripod, focusing rail etc. and I consider it as good as my old Nikon 105mm macro which was no slouch. Yet, the photos that I've been seeing posted using the 80mm look superior. Never been a "gear chaser", but I think that there's a Fuji 80mm in my future.
