I dug my old NikonD70 body out the other day and found it was sticky to the touch. A google search showed I wasnt the only person to have found that old Nikon plastic bodies like the D70 somehow went "sticky". Im not sure if any fujis are effected.....however a lot of old plastic seems to deteriorate in this way. I searched the internet for solutions that ranged from talcum powder to Armour All....nothing worked. Then I found a reference to Surgical Spirit and lo and behold its worked. The D70 body now shines like new and is no longer sticky even though it smells like a doctor's waiting room. Now I just need a cheap "old " lens to put on it ...any ideas ? The camera is worth nothing but its worth saving.
