Ok, so maybe it is more for fun than definitive
Kia is back a playing with the GFX:
I thought Ken Rockwell is the expert on all things photographic?
I see. You've got it!
“Unlike the other shills”.....
Wow, this was not the direction I would have guessed for this thread .
Kai is certainly not a shill. He has gone every which way (good, bad and ugly) with many manufacturers. He is pretty knowledgeable. He places more value on "funny," irreverent and ironic comments. He has many personally quirky responses and opinions. So I wouldn't recommend him as a source for "right opinions," not that I would place anyone else in that spot. I do find that between the jokes, he makes a number of useful observations.
We live in a time when manufacturers are very smart in how they work the marketing dollars and "favors" to the point where even those who are not sponsored are often swayed by the possibility of sponsorship opportunities.
Here is Kari's first impression (surprisingly giddy for him).
Or, if you prefer a more straightforward review. Warning, it is long

I think Kai has a unique style, I like his witty and definitely not too serious approach. More fun than fact but amusing anyway. If you want an in depth "serious" review you need to look elsewhere, if you want a review on some equipment that basically says that his Canon is better than anything else ... he's already been mentioned a few posts above!
I like the reviews that Jonas Rask does, such as: Please login or register to view links.
Unfortunately my toungue is so stuck into my cheek that I cannot reply.
I think if you know what you want exactly then reading the reviews definitely helps.
If you want fair and good reviews then I would go to Luminous Landscape site. I think you need to pay to be a member and read the reviews but they are very professional and have no bias in my opinion.
Kai Man Wong is the photographic version of Jeremey Clarkson and his star is sinking as fast as Clarkson’s.
Just a quick note on jknights' comment....yes, Luminous Landscape went to an annual fee a couple of years ago....but its not much, and I've found it to be one of my best annual purchases.
Agreed. I think it's $12 for a year and this includes free access to all the videos, which were quite a bit more expensive.
The videos on Printing alone are worth watching. There are a number on Capture One. Etc.
