So while waiting for the ski season to start I went hiking on the slopes, I took some photos that I am editing right now, here I don't know which one is better, also should I get rid of the sun flares on the right making green spots on the cabin? I took out the big one very easily in LR using spot removal, so is it ugly like it is right now or should I take out at least the big green one?

The top. It draws your eye in to the whole scene. The second one’s sun takes over and that’s all you see.

Neither is ugly. I prefer the sun and the crop of the first one. I suggest taking a bit more crop on its right so the sun is closer to the right, and cloning the dark foreground over the highlight at bottom left. That way the dark hill at bottom extends all the way to the left edge.

Yes this is what I felt too, and what about the green spots? Should I take them out or only the big one or not at all?
And sorry for the big watermarks, I am still editing my photos and it's not the final form :)

I love sun flare so I prefer the bottom one. Leave the green spot.

I recently posted an image for opinion on my stock forum that had 10x the flare yours has and it was universally lauded for the flare. I had colored spots over the top half. 90% of the pros there loved it.
An image with nice flare becomes an image of flare, and the environment is secondary.
But that is only my humble opinion and I realize sometimes I come at images from a different lane than most.

I'm tending to favour the first image.
I like both but somebody might mistakenly think the flare came from a light under the roof gable end.

I like the first one. I also have no problem with the flare spots.
