I have a new X-T2 on the way. I am a still shooter only... no sports. Video may be some rare, short family clips. With this use in mind will the UHS1 cards that I have (64MB Sandisk Extreme Pro with 95mb/s read and 90 mb/s write) be fast enough if using the compressed RAF files?

Yes, the 95mb/s cards are fine. Plenty fast enough for shooting.

I only use the faster cards because I need the download speed to the computer.

I have two of the 128GB Sandisk Extreme Pro with 95mb/s and they work great for me for taking photos with my X-T2.

I have a 95mb/s and also one of the 300mb/s and I don't notice much difference between them. The 95s are great value for the money.

Yes the 95mb/s are great- and not too expensive. Just ordered two more.

I use them for recording my wife's choir's performances and they're great.

    Do the Math
X-T2 lossless Raw file size is 25mb.

    Select C/CH at 8fps. That's 8 frames per second.

Lossless raw +jpeg= about 38mb per frame.
Uncompressed raw file= 50mb per frame.

Fast Camera. Fast Lens. Fast Buffer. Fast Processor. Fast Data Card...

If only one of the components is a bottleneck then the rest doesn't really matter. As I wrote beforw I don't see much difference between the 300mb/s cards and the 95 ones so there must be another component in the way. However I see a huge difference between the 95 cards and cards that do only 30 kb/s

Agreed. For the OP's shooting style, the 95mb/s should work fine, but chances are, if you have the horsepower, you're going to end up using it.
