Yep and that is the one I eat.
My kids on the other hand are Vegemite kids. :D

Actually I just checked and I think the NZ Marmite lids are faster!

I have eaten Durian on several occasions and aside from the revolting smell I kinda liked it but Marmite and/or Vegimite is a bridge too far.

Had some Aussie "friends" back in high school that introduced me to Vegemite. They claimed it was the Australian version of Nutella (which I love). They offered me a big spoonful. Never touched it since. o_O

I guess that is the Aussie version of hazing and I'm sure they got a huge laugh out of your reaction.
At least Vegemite does not have the environmental and health issues that Nutella has. No Orangtans have dies because of Vegemite.

It's made from orangutans? THAT'S why it tastes so bad! ;)

Not wanting to jump on a bandwagon but this is a case of fake news strikes again.
Nutella is a leading company when it comes to environmental concerns - according to various environmental bodies. See this article from the Guardian

While on holiday in Portugal I introduced a Portuguese guy to Marmite ( I had taken it with me ) . Later he said...... it changed his life but almost broke up his marriage.
So like expensive camera gear it is dangerous.

For many years I wrote and illustrated a cartoon in The Fly Dresser a fishing magazine. I incorporated Marmite at every opportunity in the hope I might get a lifetime's supply. Sadly I didnt. Please login or register to view links PBDIET even small.jpg

Yesterday, I went to two Chicago upscale grocery stores (Treasure Island and Mariano's) to buy Marmite and/or Vegemite. Both stores had a very good selection of International foods but neither store sold Marmite and/or Vegemite. The Mariano's store manager suggested that I go to a store called World Market.

I'm probably a bit partisan but Vegimite and Marmite are quite different. Marmite is UK based and therefore is more refined :)
Spread some very thinly on some buttered toast.... and be prepared for your tastebuds to respond either one of two ways :)
