This is why photo-oriented cameras tend to have a performance edge. Take a look at Photon to Photos results for X100V and XPRO3. They will tend to have higher performance vs. other models using "the same sensor and processor" since those photographic-centric pipelines are [B][I]optimized[/I][/B]. Also XT4 despite having the "same" sensor and processor as XT3 has a very different logic board setup and different color output. It's similar but different. XT4 tends to be magenta-biased.
