I dont know what other peoples expectations are from these tests. From the Fringer manual CMOS Type Camera model Compatibility description X-Trans I & non X-Trans X-E1, X-Pro1, X-M1, X-A1, X-A3, X-A5, X-A7, X-T100, X-T200 No PDAF support. Poor AF performance. Use MF if necessary. X-Trans II X-E2, X-E2s, X-T1, X-T10 PDAF focus area is very small. AF performance is not so good. X-Trans III X-H1, X-T2, X-T20, X-Pro2, X-E3 7 columns of AF points in the middle support PDAF. Better AF performance if PDAF activated. X-Trans IV X-T3, X-T30, X-Pro3, X-T4, X-S10 All AF points support PDAF. A big leap in AF performance. Recommended! Best results will be achieved with the latest generation (X-Trans IV) of sensors which have better general performance for AF due to having both CD (Contrast Detect) and PD (Phase Detection) built into the sensor. Earlier generations will not perform as well so the XPro2, XT2, XT20, XH1, will not perform as well as the XPro3, XT30, XT3, XT4, X-S10. For me the tests are about confirming that these long lenses from Nikon which are AFS G format work on the Fuji cameras that I use most. As such those lenses with focal length of 300mm plus are my target area as the Fuji lens range dont have these except for the 100-400mm. I can see there is also an opportunity to use Nikon AFS lenses where you have the Nikon version but dont want to duplicate it in the Fuji range. Also if you want to have lens information details captured into your image EXIF details this will be useful. I am particularly interested in the results that @Richard_M will get as I know he is a good bird photographer and his feedback on settings and technique might improve my ability to get pictures as good as his. Also seeing how others will exploit this adapter will be very interesting as different perspectives are great at identifying new things to learn.
