T1 and rubber skin
Thanks for the link jaberg. I see using this in my future.

I have a roll of the 1/2” in my shop supply cabinet. Drop me a line if you need a short length.

New Fuji 35mm 1.4 sounds like a rattle can
I have a different interpretation of a "rattle can." You may be referring to the chattering of the aperture blades (as the lens stops down to shoot and opens back up to focus)? It's hard to tell from the video as the focus motor is coming across kind of loud as well.

my second XF1 is dying
and now it's DEAD.

I could see it coming as this 'exposure' issue is actually an ouverture for the 'Lens error' thing.

Now i think that as this XF1 example had very low zooming and very few closing the camera with the turning the lens off - there is some electrical fault inside and not so...

This build is somewhat over-the-top, but fun to watch. Photography at its most contemplative.

‘Well seen and well photographed.”
It has an “Other World” look to it.
Thank you Blaine! I’ve got an affinity for mushrooms, they’re really amazing organisms. I felt like this image was calling out to me.

Program Shift Not Working As Expected
ChatGPT Advanced (if you have it) is extremely good at troubleshooting and getting to complex camera questions/issues/problems. I've troubleshooted quite a few edge scenarios using it. The robots get straight to the matter and figure it out. You just have to be incredibly nuanced and careful in...

My vision of a carillon
For years, our small town has had a small, incredibly dull carillon (a few straight tubes, each with a certain number of bells), which plays a poor-sounding, digitally and electronically controlled melody every hour at the edge of the shopping center. Time for a change, I thought, and as a huge...
